Welcome to Paw AI, operated by Shenzhen OTalk Technology Co. Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Paw AI mobile application (the "App") on iOS.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and any optional profile details you choose to provide (such as a profile photo or display name).
2.2 Pet Profile Data
You may create one or more pet profiles containing information such as your pet's name, species, breed, age, weight, and profile photo. This information is used to personalize AI analysis and health tracking features.
2.3 Pet Health Data
You may log sensitive pet health information, including diet records, medication history, veterinary visit notes, and bodily function data (e.g., stool analysis). This data is securely stored on our cloud servers to provide you with health timelines and care reminders. Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the absolute right to access, export, or permanently delete this data at any time.
2.4 Usage Data
We may collect information about how you interact with the App, such as features accessed, session duration, and in-app navigation patterns. This data is used solely to improve the App's functionality and user experience. We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase, Mixpanel, or Amplitude).
3. AI Data Processing (Dr. Paw)
When you use the Dr. Paw AI feature, you may upload photos, short videos (3–5 seconds), and voice inputs of your pet. These data are transmitted securely via encryption to our AI service provider (OpenAI) strictly for the purpose of analyzing your pet's health condition and providing contextual guidance.

All AI processing is routed through OpenAI's API via Supabase Edge Functions. No other AI providers are used.
3.3 Media Retention Policy
Photos, videos, and voice recordings are retained for 90 days after upload, then automatically and permanently deleted from our server storage. During this 90-day window, you may manually delete your uploaded media at any time through the App. AI analysis results (text summaries) are retained as part of your pet's health diary and are not auto-deleted unless you delete the diary entry or your account.
3.4 AI Model Training
We do not use your personal data, images, videos, or conversation history to train or improve AI models. If this policy changes in the future, we will notify you in advance and obtain your explicit, opt-in consent before any such use. Any future opt-in program would involve anonymized data only, with a clear toggle in Settings and the ability to withdraw consent at any time.
3.5 Voice Input
Voice diary parsing uses Apple SFSpeechRecognizer, which performs on-device speech-to-text processing. No audio data is uploaded to the cloud for speech recognition purposes.
4. Location Services & Tracking
Our PawTrack and Explore features require access to your device's GPS location data to accurately track your walking distance, estimate calorie burn, and display your real-time presence (Join/Leave) at pet-friendly points of interest (POIs).
We only access location data when you actively grant permission through iOS system prompts. You may revoke location access at any time through your device's Settings. We strictly prohibit the unauthorized sale, sharing, or monetization of your location history to any third-party data brokers.
Location coordinates may be shared with Google Places API for location search functionality and with Apple WeatherKit / Open-Meteo for weather context used in AI analysis. These services are used solely for their stated purposes.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, operate, and improve the App's features and services.
- Process AI health analysis for your pet via Dr. Paw.
- Generate personalized health timelines, activity tracking, and care reminders.
- Facilitate community features, including the social map, check-ins, and offline events.
- Communicate with you regarding account updates, support inquiries, and important service notices.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
6. Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party service providers. Each provider processes only the data necessary for their specific function:

We do not use Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Crashlytics, or any other analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
7. Data Storage & Security
All user data is hosted on Supabase infrastructure in the US East region (AWS us-east-1, N. Virginia, United States). We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest, to protect your data.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request complete account and data deletion through:

Upon account deletion, all personal data, pet profiles, diary entries, and uploaded media are permanently deleted within 30 days of the request. AI conversation history associated with the account is also deleted. Anonymized, aggregated statistical data (if any) may be retained.
9. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure: Request permanent deletion of your data and account.
- Right to Data Portability: Export your pet's health data as a PDF report through the App.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for any data processing based on consent at any time.
- Right to Object: Object to certain types of data processing.

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Paw AI is not directed at children under 13 years of age. The minimum age to create an account and use the App is 13 years old. Users must confirm they are 13 or older when agreeing to our Terms of Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data without parental consent, we will promptly delete such data from our servers. Parents or guardians who believe their child under 13 has submitted personal data may contact us at support@otalktech.com to request immediate deletion.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we may also send an in-app notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
